Back on topic.

I have a Canon GL-1 as well that can be used for any AZToyota video. We should do some filming at the next meet. My work will be slowing down shortly so I will be at the next meet.

Doesn't matter. GL-1 is still a good camera.

^ that is really cool. I used to fly RC planes. A lot of fun but I'd rather put the money into my car.

That's my idea in life. If I have money in my account, I'm thinking about stuff to get for my car

I think it just needs to be longer.

Finally got around to view this. Looks good for your first video!
May I recommend a couple things...
First use a tripod and rubberband for the panning.
Avoid getting your shadow. Don't know why but I always thought reflections and shadows degrade a video or pic.
Definitely needs to be longer, I'd like a close up of the spedo (seperate camera or take). Love how's it's all over the place.

What did you use to mount it? Camera shake was minimal.

By the way RC planes rock! Thinking about getting an F22.

I'd gladly do some stuff. I did stuff back in the day for the local cobalt club (before it imploded on itself). I have a computer JUST for editing, final cut pro, and a $2500 Canon GL2. I've been editing since mid 2005, so I have a little experience. I'm not too much into really fancy stuff, I'm more into making things smooth and flow good. Here is some of my work, some of you may recognize this.

I didn't shoot this footage, but I did edit it. The interviews are on there because I just rendered it into a video file, it was originally edited for a TV show, so I just put it on youtube without changing anything.

This was shot by a friend, and edited by me.

Heres a decent video a threw together. Nothing fancy, just smooth and good flowing.

Cool video of the Cobalt, only downside............

It's about a Cobalt. jk
Very well put together!

As for interviews, there used to be a creepy guy that would shoot video and self-shoot his interviews at drift events. We should get that guy!

Tripod and rubberband? Duct tape, a slinky, four eggs and a rubber chicken?
Then what?

Actually the camera is the size and shape of a pack of gum with a pinhole lens. The engine shots were at night under my carport light, and the in-car shots were with the camera weged between the seat and the headrest on the passenger side.

I have a couple tripods to play with, but haven't experimented to see where they should be in the car. I'm pretty happy with the view I got fom the in-car cam. The engine shots, I was surprised I got any picture at all with how dark it was. My 'real' video camera would not have even worked with that low light level.

I suppose I could rig multiple cameras at the same time. Then synchronize them in the editing?

I'm learning....
